I was born in Adams, MA at Adams General Hospital. Right about dinner time, so 8 pm or so close as I can determine for Chart purposes. No idea on how the delivery went. I have heard that the last song my mother heard before going in was Peter, Paul & Mary’s “Puff the Magic Dragon”.
My sister was born 18 months later. Not that I had enough of a head start. She walked before I did. She talked before I did. Kelly, Kathleen Lamont Kelson, was going to be named Kathleen Kelly Kelson. Then Great Grandmother Lamont pointed out the initials. So henceforth she had the new middle name of Lamont for her per that observation.

At some point the family moved to Bangor ME where I attended Kindergarten. I do not recall it with any preciseness. I do remember when my sister got her hand stuck in a small hole in the vacuum cleaner. I vaguely used to be able to recall the house or street where we used to live at.

I know we lived in the rural part of Virginia when I was about 8 years old. I remember the farms around us, the river close by, the huge yard, the walks I would take around the bend and past large fields it seemed at the time. I remember the story my mother told of the time a bull and several cows wandered through our yard shortly before Kelly and I were to get off the bus from school. I recall the time a friend came over for dinner and the garlic bread was too much for them to take and almost made them sick.
