Around the block
Where we live at in this city in Florida, we are less than 15 miles to most anything we want. Count in like 45 miles to either Disney or Busch Gardens, and this is about a primo location.
It is literally less than 2 miles to a mall, several strip malls, Chilis, Carabbas, Applebees, Ruby Tuesday, plus other assorted fast food places.
Along with a Books a Million, making for no real need to ever leave a 10 some mile radius for me. Of course we do, to go to other malls and shopping. But not really all that necessary.
My work is a whopping 4.5 miles one way from my home. Would take about 2 hours to walk there, old and out of shape anymore. But it could be done without much of a difficulty.
But that does make it nice for when we want anything. Target under 2 miles, 2 Walmarts under 3 miles, center of convenience.
